01 / SCIENCE & ENGINEERING
FROM FORMULATION TO FUNCTIONI connect polymer chemistry with practical materials challenges.
My path has taken me from paints and industrial coatings to conducting polymers and flexible energy storage. Today, I’m a PhD researcher at CY Cergy Paris Université’s LPPI, working on materials for wearable electrochemical energy storage.
Ionogel electrolytes, electrode materials, and flexible solid-state devices. Exploring how polymers can bring mechanical adaptability and electrochemical performance together.
Hands-on industrial experience with epoxy and polyurethane systems, protective finishes, and adhesion on plastic substrates, including work at Asian Paints.
Research experience spanning PEDOT conducting inks at LCPO in Bordeaux and multimodal polymer dispersions at POLYMAT in the Basque Country.
Characterisation: FT-IR, Raman, SEM/EDX, DSC and TGA.
Mechanical behaviour: tensile testing and DMA.
Electrochemistry: conductivity measurements, cyclic voltammetry, impedance spectroscopy and galvanostatic charge–discharge.
02 / MUSIC
A DIFFERENT KIND OF PRACTICEMusic is another part of how I think and express myself. Alongside science, I’ve pursued piano performance, earning Trinity Grade 8 in 2022.
Listening. Practice. Interpretation.
03 / LANGUAGES & TEACHING
MORE WAYS TO CONNECTLearning a language opens up more than a conversation.
English, French, Marathi and Hindi are part of my world. I also teach French and am exploring Spanish and German as a beginner. Having learned French myself, I enjoy helping others find their footing.

STILL EXPLORINGI’m Aditya Chandrashekhar Apte.
I studied Surface Coating Technology at ICT Mumbai, then completed a double master’s at the University of Bordeaux and the University of the Basque Country. I’m now based in the Paris region, pursuing my PhD at CY Cergy Paris Université.
Outside the lab and away from the piano, you might find me on a tennis court or learning hip-hop. I like having something new to work on.
